    This book contains 15 lessons. Out of these, 10 are selections from various sources, and the rest are written by the author. At the end of each lesson, suitable language exercises are designed especially having in view the need of the second language learners. Exercises are also designed to test the comprehension of the lesson and to give practice on new structures that appeared in the selections. There are two poems also. The lessons are included not only to teach the language but also to give a glimpse of the aspects of the Telugu language, literature, society, and history.
