Accessing the Platform

Navigating the Homepage

Upon visiting the homepage, you will find:

• Sections & Collections: Browse materials categorized by the division or projects that are responsible for the creation of resources.
• Bhasha Sanchika: Browse materials categorized by author, title, subject, language, or type of resource.
• Statistics: This section on the Sanchika homepage provides valuable insights into repository usage.
• Search Bar: Quickly locate specific materials by entering relevant keywords.
• Language Switch: Allows you to switch between English and Hindi.
• User Login/Register: Optional registration for additional features (if applicable).
• At the Footer section you will find information About Bhasha Sanchika, Contributors, Privacy policy, Cookie settings, and End User Agreement.

How to Register

1. Click on the "Login" button on the top right corner of the homepage.
2. Click "New Users? Click here to register."
3. Enter your preferred Email ID in the text box provided.
4. A link to the registration form will be sent the Email ID you entered. Please click the link.
5. Agree to the End User Agreement by checking the "I have read and I agree to the End User Agreement" check box.
6. Click "Save" to access your Create Profile page.
7. Enter your identity details and password in the Create Profile page.
8. Click Complete Registration.

How to Log In

1. Click on the "Log In" button on the top right corner of the homepage.
2. Enter your username and password in the respective fields.
3. Click "Log In" to enter the site as a registered user.

Searching for Materials

You can search for materials in two ways:

• Basic Search: Use the search bar at the top of the homepage to enter keywords to look for the resources you desire.
• Advanced Search: The search page allows you to filter results based on Author, Subject, Language, and Has files. You can also sort the resources based on the relevance and date.

Browsing Collections

1. Click on the "Bhasha Sanchika" tab to explore categorized linguistic and cultural resources.
2. Select a Collection to view individual records and metadata.

How to Download Resources

1. Locate the Resource: Use the search bar or browse options to find the material you want to download.
2. Open the Record: Click on the title of the resource to open its Simple Item page.
3. View the Full Item Page: On the Full Item Page, scroll to the bottom to find the "Files" section listing all available files.
4. Check Access Restrictions: If the file has restricted access, you may need to log in or request permission from the repository administrator.
5. Download the File: Click on the "Download" button next to the file name to start the download.
