Abstract

Description

This is a performance of traditional dance for the purpose of recording. 6 women dance around a vilakku, 1 nazhi rice, 1 coconut, some betel leaves, money, and areca nut, all kept on a banana leaf, singing the song they stamp their feet and clap their hands in front and in back. The song is about telling a woman 'cheera', that they will buy her bangles for the hand, chain for the neck and 'thoda' for the ears when they go to Nilambur.
