| Notes | This is an elicitation of sentences with causatives, passives, reduplication, comparatives and superlatives, adverbial constructions, quantifiers and intensifiers, adpositions, adjectival clauses, interclausal relations and exclamation. The RP asks the consultants to translate the terms given in the SPPEL Language Document Handbook. The consultants also share different proverbs and riddles in their language. The major informant is Murugan, though others help him in between. There is some discussion on death ceremony, housing system, food and drinks, measurement, construction materials, grains and pulses, edibles, vegetables, occupation, ailments, transportation, games and entertainment, adornments and ornaments, and judiciary. |
