| Notes | This is a traditional story of Dirang Dzong. The audio records the traditional story of how people from the ancient Dirang-Monpa community celebrated the 'calling of Monsoon' when there was little or no rain. Girls and boys used to throw water on each others and burning of bamboos which burst like crackers, which was surprisingly followed by cloudy sky and later resulting in heavy rain. The tradition is still followed in some region among Dirang-Monpa communities. |
