Assamese

Assamese is a scheduled language. It belongs to the Indo-Aryan language family. According to the census 2011, the total population of Assamese is 15,311,351. It is spoken in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, West Bengal and Nagaland. It is an official language in Assam.
