Kurux is a Dravidian language; spoken in Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam and Tripura etc. It belongs to the language user community of Oraon tribes. The number of speakers is 1990000, as per 2011 Census. Kurux uses the Devanagari script and is spoken by communities enlisted as scheduled tribes. It is a non-scheduled language.
