Abstract
Mahakavi Jayadeva's great text Gita Govinda is a pan-Indian text. But Gita Gobinda seva in Jagannath temple since sixteenth century and the long tradition of lyrical poetry correlates the origin of Gita Govinda in Odisha, known as the home land of Jayadeva. The beautiful palm leaf manuscript amazingly portrays the melodious songs in Odia script.
