Abstract

ಎರಡನೆಯ ಚಾವುಂಡರಾಯನಿಂದ ರಚಿತವಾದ ಲೋಕೋಪಕಾರಂ ಕ್ರಿ.ಶ. ೧೧ನೆಯ ಜ್ಞಾನಕೋಶ ಗ್ರಂಥವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷ್ಯಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ, ವೈದ್ಯಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ, ವಾಸ್ತುಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ, ಜಲಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ, ಪರಿಮಳಗಂಧವಿಧಿಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ, ಸೂಪಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ, ಮುಂತಾದ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ನಿರೂಪಣೆಯಿದೆ. ಎರಡನೆಯ ಚಾವುಂಡರಾಯ ಹಳಗನ್ನಡ ಪದ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿರುವ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಕೃತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಳ ಓದಿಗೆ ಅನುವು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಪರಾಮರ್ಶೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೃತಿಯು ಕನ್ನಡ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಭಾಷೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವವರಿಗೆ ಉಪಯುಕ್ತ ಕೃತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. In the present work, the classical themes represented in the second Chavundaraya halaganadha poems are given in a simplistic manner and the contents of the sastra are reviewed. To this end, the work is a useful work for Kannada classical language and research practitioners.
